The CAT 2008 for admission to the PG Courses offered by the AIFD Bangalore, will be held on Monday 07 July at AIFD, Bangalore.
Date of Examination: On 7th July 2008
Time:0930 hrs to 1700 hrs
PG Programs
1. PG Diploma in Fashion Design
2. PG Diploma in Apparel Merchandising and Logistics Management
Duration: 2 years
No of Seats: (40 seats each)
Eligibility:
Should be a ward of one of the following:
1. Serving Army personnel.
2. Serving medical officers of IN and IAF who have served in the Army for more than 10 yrs and are members of AOBF.
3. Retired Army pers in receipt of regular pension, or former Army pers who retired after min service of 10 yrs.
4. Former Army pers who died during service / after retirement and family pension is granted.
5. TA pers who have completed 10 yrs of embodied service.
6. DSC pers who are serving or retired with pension:
* War widows (in receipt of liberalized pension) and children in receipt of family pension (due to death of both parents) are also eligible.
* In case of adopted child, the ward should have been adopted atleast for five years before applying for admission.
* Should be minimum graduates, or appeared for degree exam, at the time of applying for admission to AIFD. Minimum acceptable marks in are 50%.
* Must be an Indian citizen, or a PIO who obtains Indian citizenship before admission.
* Limited seats for Civilians and wards of other defence establishments.
Last date for receipt of application form (With late fee of Rs.100/-) : 15 May 2008
Dispatch of admit cards to students : 20 May 2008 onwards
Creative Aptitude Test (CAT) & Interview : 07 July 2008
Issue of First List : 08 July 2008
Issue of Second List: Registration for the course on 08 & 09 July 2008
Issue of Third List: Not indicated
Dispatch of Letters and joining instructions to the Selected candidates
Reporting to Institute for admission (Selected candidates only) : 10 August 2008
