Career as a Company Secretary is not only prestigious and financially rewarding but also carries with it a high degree of job satisfaction.
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India regulates the profession of Company Secretaries in India.
There are three stages to be pursued to qualify as a Company Secretary:
1.Foundation Course 5 Papers
2.Intermediate Course 8 Papers
3.Final Course 9 Papers
Some facts about Company Secretary Course:
1.It is the Correspondence coutse with provision for Optional Oral Coaching classes.
2.For Foundation Course the minimum qualification is 10+2 or equivalent in any stream except Fine Arts.
3.For Intermediate Course the minimum qualification is CS Foundation Pass or Graduation in any discipline, Arts/Science/Commerce except Fine Arts.
4.The Final Examination is after passing the Intermediatet Course.
5.16 months Management Training is to be undergone after passing thet Inter/Final examination or Practical experience.
6.The ICSI and its Regionalt Councils and Chapters offer Placement Services to Members and Students. A qualified Company Secretary has openings both in Employment and in Practice

More opportunities for employment usually mean a greater chance of getting hired at a salary level you desire.
Following are some tips to keep in mind while doing job hunting on the internet:
1. Need great search skills to navigate internet for sites.
2. Start working on your direction, possibilities, and focus while still in the final phase of training/education.
3. Think about your career, your goals, your skills, and your interests where you’re relatively comfortable with your life situation.
4. First, focus on a job title, industry, and location. It’s wise to start your search by visiting large job sites because of the number of listings offered.
5. Search statement should be quite narrow.
6. Keep a career journal and jot down job titles, settings, and direction that excite you.
7. The research variant job titles and learns more about specific sub-industries to find out what’s realistic.
8. As you map out your job target, think before to locate appropriate national and local associations.
10.Assemble a prospect list of potential local employers and research each in depth.
11.With this information you need to contact the employer and market your relevant skills and experience.

Retail Management rated as the fifth most attractive, emerging retail market in the world. India is viewed as a potential goldmine for global as well as domestic majors. India’s total retail market is estimated at Rs. 9,300 billion of which organized retail is at Rs. 300 billion and is expected to grow at a compounded rate of 30 per cent over the next five years. Currently estimated to employ nearly 15 per cent of educated Indian adults, the industry has the potential to employ over two million people in the next four to five years. The organized retail industry has grown from two to about 3.5 per cent today. There are 55 malls in operation and in the text couple of years, there should be 200 malls in operation across the country. With these levels of growth, there is high scope in this dynamic business.Retail is no longer considered as a New Age profession, but also has become an established one with high potential and high growth. Also, organized retail is not limited to major cities.Retailers having gained significant market share in Tier I cities, are eager to expand into unexplored Tier II cities. Comparatively, a low real estates price in tier II cities is one of the major attraction. Smaller cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Chandigarh, Nasik, Nagpur and Indore are also expected to see a remarkable growth in the number of malls.
The government recently announced FDI in retail will go upto 51 % in single brand products, with prior government approval. This is aimed at attracting investment, technology and best global practices. This announcement is expected to provide a boost to premium and luxury brand retailers.
