Ph.D. Admission 2008

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), established under the Ministry of HRD, houses state-of-the-art research facilities in all branches of science-Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.

IISER faculty are engaged in research in frontier and interdisciplinary areas of science.

Applications from Indian nationals are invited for research program scheduled to commence from August 2008 in the areas of basic sciences-Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.

Last date for receipt of completed application form: 16 May, 2008.

Eligibility : First Class or 60% marks (55% for SC / ST) in M.Sc. in Chemistry / Physics / Biochemistry /Material Science/ Life Sciences /Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science or M. Stat or equivalent.

Students with B. Tech. or equivalent degree in Engineering Physics / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering /B.Pharma / M.Pharma / MBBS degree may also apply for research programs in Physics and Life Sciences.
